Two-time Azerbaijani greco-roman champion stabs his friend

Two-time champion of Azerbaijan (1992-1993) in Greco-Roman wrestling 32-year-old Eyvaz Nagiyev has stabbed his neighbor Araz Pirahmadov with a knife. Senior investigator of Gusar Police Mahammad Ibrahimov said the incident happened outside the school number 5 noting that the detainee had previously had a term for a crime committed in Russia.

The detainee Nagiyev argues that once he was engaged in sports actively, but he gave it up due to strong head injury. As a result, this injury made itself felt each time after taking alcohol. After drinking, he loses control of himself. He said after taking strong drinks at a wedding, he sat down in front of the school. As soon as he woke up, Nagiyev saw that he had hit his friend with a knife in the abdomen. Injured Pirahmadov was urgently delivered to the Gusar Central Hospital.

Pirahmadov said he saw his friend was drunk and decided to see off him to his home. "Eyvaz Nagiyev told me to leave him alone. After that I felt a knife stabbed into my stomach," he said.

Pirahmadov said he forgave his friend for the offense. Nagiyev confessed to the offense in a state of intoxication, and said regretted about what happened.
