Calm weather to dominate in Azerbaijan on day of parliamentary elections

A calm weather is expected in Azerbaijan on the parliamentary elections day - Nov.7, Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry National Hydrometeorological Department chief engineer Imran Mammadov said.

"According to forecasts, a good weather that the country records this week will last until the end of the week," Mammadov said.

The north-west wind, which will be replaced by the south, is expected to strengthen in the afternoon on Nov.6, but the wind will weaken on Nov.7, Mammadov said.

The elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Previous elections were held in November 2005. The elections are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
