Azerbaijan attends International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities' 4th Annual Conference in China

Azerbaijan was represented in the event by Justice Minister Fikrat Mammadov and officials of the Prosecutor General`s Office. The event, which brought together 700 representatives from more than 150 countries, was opened by Fikrat Mammadov.

The Azerbaijani Minister underlined the importance of the international cooperation against corruption and put forward some proposals on how to improve the activity of the IAACA. He spoke of Azerbaijan`s positive practice in fight against corruption.

During the General Meeting, new president, vice-presidents and members of the executive committee of IAACA were elected.

The Chinese Prosecutor General was elected the Association`s president, while Azerbaijani Justice Minister its vice-president.

The event culminated in the adoption of a declaration on comprehensive measures to fight agants corruption. As part of the event, a meeting was held with members of the Azerbaijani delegation at the initiative of Chinese Prosecutor General Cao Jianming.
