12 November 2010 [11:45] - TODAY.AZ
The Azerbaijani Press Council has issued a warning to three newspapers.
A council complaints commission investigated an appeal by the Caucasus Muslims Organization and the Islamic Party of Azerbaijan against the Alma newspaper, the Tefekkur University's appeal against the Ganun and Shah paper and Guba State Economic and Social College's and Oguz Regional Financial Management's appeal against the Polit Alyans paper, and the Shamakhi Wood Protection and Restoration Department's appeal against the Muasir zaman paper.

The council decided to issue a warning to the Alma paper and consider whether the publication should be included in its "blacklist."

The Ganun and Shah paper was also warned and monitoring will be held in relation to the paper. The council's secretariat was encouraged to inform the commission on the monitoring results.

The Polit alyans paper was also warned and monitoring will be held in relation to the paper. The commission took into account the Muasir zaman paper's apologies. As the complaining party was satisfied with the initiative, the issue was considered as settled.
