EU wants authority of Azerbaijan Chamber of Accounting to be increased

Chairman of Azerbaijan Chamber of Accounting Heydar Asadov and the delegation of European Commission discussed the reforming in state management financial system, increase of control in the budget and increase of authority of Accounting Chamber.

The head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia Roland Kobia also attended the meeting among the Manager for Planning and Programming Angelo Borgoni, Luca Oriani, responsible officer of the Macroeconomic Assistance Bureau and Chamber Leadership.

According to R. Kobia, the European Union accepts Accounting Chamber as one of the main partners in Azerbaijan on implementation of Budget Support Program.

At the meeting it was pointed out that the beneficiaries of European Union’s budgetary support in 2012/15 “Support for the reform of public finance management system in Azerbaijan" will be the ACA, the Ministry of Finance and the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy. It is planned to introduce mid-term fiscal mechanism, improve the efficiency of the public (parliamentary) control over the State Budget, increase the functionality of audit conducted by the Chamber.
