Azerbaijani MP and Ombudsman visit family of national hero Mubariz Ibrahimov on occasion of Gurban Holiday

Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva and Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova visited the family of national hero Mubariz Ibragimov in Bilasuvar on the occasion of Qurban Bayram (Festival of Sacrifice).

Congratulating the family of the hero with a holy holiday, the MP and Ombudsman stressed the importance and sanctity of celebrating this festival in Ibrahimov’s family.

Noting with appreciation the return of body of national hero and that of a brave officer Farid Ahmadov and their burial in the Alley of Honor II, Ibrahimov's family expressed their gratitude to Ilham Aliyev, the state and the people.

Father of the hero Agakarim Ibrahimov said since his son’s death, the number of visitors to their home has not diminished even for a day and linked it with people’s and state’s loyalty their moral values and national-cultural traditions. As a good example of it he cited the widespread celebration of Qurban Bayram at the state level and visiting families of shahids on this holy day.

Ensign of Azerbaijani army Mubariz Ibrahimov and officer Farid Ahmadov heroically died while repelling Armenian side’s attacks in Terter direction of the front line on June 18, and on September 4 this year respectively.

Mubariz Ibrahimov was posthumously conferred on the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan upon presidential decree dated July 22 for his outstanding achievements in protecting the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
