A total of 55 individuals died as a result of industrial accidents in Azerbaijan

In January-October, 2010, 196 accidents occured in Azerbaijan, down 6% compared with a year ago. According to Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population (MLSPP), one of these accidents occurred in the construction. Generally, 51 accidents occurred in the construction, during 10 months, down 4% from year earlier.

Series of fatal accidents decreased by 35%, during the same period. Total of 15 series of fatal accident occurred during 10 months. 4 of them occurred in the construction sphere. As the result of accidents in the industry, 55 persons died, in January-October. 25 of them were in the construction sector. 165 were injured.
