About 20 "Matadors" and "Marauders" to be handed over to Azerbaijan's Armed Forces

About 20 mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles jointly produced by Azerbaijan and Paramount Group will be handed over to the Armed Forces, defense sources said. 17 Paramount Group-licensed Matador and Marauder vehicles were manufactured by the engineers of this company and Azerbaijan’s Defense Industry Ministry and tested so far.

According to the agreement between Paramount Group and Defense Industry Ministry of Azerbaijan, 25 Matador and 25 Marauder vehicles are planned to be produced and delivered to the customers in the first phase.

The mine resistant ambush protected vehicles have "V" shaped hulls to deflect away any explosive forces originating below the vehicle, thereby protecting the vehicle and its passenger compartment. It is resistant to 17 TNT explosive yields.

Paramount Group unveiled recently new Mbombe armored vehicles with straight hulls.
