
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) together with the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry carry out seminar on protection from fires in Ganja on Nov.23-24 as part of consultations to improve the investment environment, the IFC reported.
The workshop is designed to increase the knowledge of entrepreneurs in the area of prevention of fires in businesses and facilities. Participants also visited a number of companies, where they received information about their responsibilities and rights during inspections. The seminar will also show an international experience in this field.
Holding of such workshops are planned in other parts of the country.
Implementation of the project on consultation to improve the investment environment began in August 2008, with financial support from IFC, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO) and BP. The project is designed for five years and the main purpose of its implementation is improving the business environment for entrepreneurs, which will ensure a long and multifaceted economic growth.
