
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has ordered to provide all assistance possible to the Azerbaijani pilgrims who had an accident in Sivas yesterday on their way to home from Mecca, according to Sivas municipality.
To this end Sivas Governor Ali Tokat visited the injured and gave appropriate instructions yesterday.
"Unfortunately, we could not save 5 Hajis. We express our condolences to their families and to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan," said the municipality.
Sources in Numune hospital said the state of Azerbaijani pilgrims is normal. They are under medical supervision. According to Sivas police, the accident happened as the bus driver lost control on one of the bends, causing the vehicle to overturn.
