A Kyrgyz translation of a book by Azerbaijani poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade was presented in Bishkek this week.

The Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University hosted an event dedicated to the poet with the support of the Turkic-Speaking Countries Policy Support Foundation, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency, and the Turkish diaspora in Kyrgyzstan.
Vahabzade is a poet of the Turkic world, Manas Vice Rector Sabahaddin Balci said at the event.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Arif Agayev thanked the Turkic-Speaking Countries Policy Support Foundation for organizing the event. He also presented the university's rector with the 12 volumes of the poet's works and three volumes written by Mir Jalal Pashayev.
Vahabzade's book, "Gulistan," which was translated into Kyrgyz by young Kyrgyz poet Altynbek Ismailov, was also presented at the event.
