Azerbaijani border guards detained a group of individuals attempting to smuggle cash in large amount into Russia. Azerbaijani citizens - Ganja residents Cherkez Huseynov, Elmdar Imamverdiyev and Elvin Sayadov were detained at the "Samur" checkpoint at the Azerbaijani-Russian border Nov.21.

They entered into a criminal conspiracy and tried to smuggle cash worth $154,000 into Russia , passing Azerbaijan's customs border, the State Border Service said today. A criminal case has been filed under Article 206.3.2 of the Criminal Code.
