Amman hosts Days of Azerbaijani Culture

The Days of Azerbaijani Culture have been launched in Jordan, according to spokesman of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Culture and Tourism Intigam Humbatov. The opening ceremony brought together the two countries` culture ministers, as well as ambassadors of foreign countries in Amman.

Jordan`s Minister of Culture Nabih Shuqum stressed the importance of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture, expressing confidence they would serve to boost the bilateral relations.

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev highlighted the country's ‘rich cultural heritage’.

He stressed friendly ties between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Jordanian King Abdullah II and their reciprocal visits had played an important role in developing the relations between the two states.

The opening ceremony was followed by a concert of Azerbaijani cultural figures.

The Days of Azerbaijani Culture will end on December 3.
