
Climate forum of winter season on South Eastern Europe, Caucasian and Turkey has been held in Belgrade, Serbia. Prognosis connected with weather forecasts for December, January, February have been made public in this forum.
Deputy Director of the National Hydrometeorology Department of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Sahib Khalilov told APA that National Meteorology and Hydrology services of 14 countries – Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Macedonia, Israel, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Turkey attended the forum.
Some regional meteorological centers preparing information on long-lasting prognosis based on models have been determined and at the same time, decisions of Meteorological services of France, Russia, Germany, European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, US Forecast Center were viewed in the forum.
Colder winter is predicted for Turkey as well. But the temperature may be near or below the norm in the Caucasus region, as well as in Azerbaijan. Amount of precipitation is expected to be above the norm, but it will be below the norm in Turkey and Balkans.
