Crimea marks jubilee of 77th Azerbaijani division

An event on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the 77th Suvorov rifle division took place in Simferopol city of Ukraine. The 77th division, which was formed in Azerbaijan, in 1920, took an active part in liberation of Crimea, including Simferopol and Sevastopol.

A memorial complex in honor of brave sons of Azerbaijan, who performed a heroic feat during an assault of Sapun Mountain, was erected near Sevastopol.
