Two European airports fail to receive flights from Baku due to snowfall

Two airports could not receive flights from Baku due to snowfalls in Europe, Azerbaijani Airlines (AZAL) representative said.

According to AZAL, the flight for London Heathrow Airport taking off at 6:25 pm Baku time Saturday and the flight for Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport departing at 08:00 am Sunday could not land because of heavy snowfall. Both planes had to land at Cologne airport in Germany.

From Cologne the planes will return to Baku, AZAL said. In addition, the Baku-London flight, which was to be sent at 11:40 am was canceled.
