Azerbaijan monitors quality of ferrous and nonferrous metals recycling

The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents monitors the quality of the ferrous and nonferrous metals production and recycling enterprises, the Committee said.

"The commission was established under the State Committee on Standardization to strengthen state control in these enterprises," a statement said.

The committee consists of specialists of the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations. The monitoring aims to ensure the health, and the more effective protection of the safety of people working in these enterprises, as well as strengthening the state's control, the report said.

A special laboratory will test samples obtained from these enterprises during the monitoring process.
