Palmali Group of Companies has launched a tanker named after Azerbaijan's National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov in Turkey.

The tanker launched by Beshiktash Shipyard will glorify the name of national hero in world waters, the company said in a statement.
The tanker launching ceremony was attended by parents of the National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov, employees of Palmali Group of Companies headed by company’s CEO Mubariz Mansimov, chairman of the board of Beshiktash Group of Companies Insan Kalkavan and Azerbaijan's Consul General in Istanbul Hasan Zeynalov.
Length of a new tanker that meets international demands is 140 meters, width – 16 meters, height - 6 meters and the total cargo capacity is 7,000 tons. The tanker is designed to transport crude oil, gasoline and petroleum products. This is the first vessel launched by Besiktas Shipyard.
