Azerbaijani border guards detain more than 11,000 individuals in 2010

A meeting was held on the results of the service and fighting activity of the State Border Service in 2010. During the reported period, 11,033 individuals, involved in the violation of borders and border regime were detained, 369 of which are border violators.

Some 29.3% (108 persons in 76 cases) of those detained during the year, crossed the border from Azerbaijan's territory in the direction of neighboring countries, 70.7% (261 persons in 148 cases) - from neighboring countries' territories in the direction of Azerbaijan.
