Azerbaijan announces winners of competition of scientific projects

The Azerbaijani Presidential Science Development Fund has announced the winners of the next competition of science projects, the fund told Trend today. The second short-term competition of research projects were submitted 19 proposals, of which 11 were admitted to scientific expertise.

The fund allocated 1.435 million manat to finance projects that won the competition. Of these, 500,000 manat will be provided to purchase electronic equipment and software for research in the earth sciences, 400,000 manat to purchase equipment for research in molecular biology, 435,000 to purchase new nano-structured materials in physics, 50,000 manat to prepare a three-volume Azerbaijani history and 50,000 manat to prepare two volumes about mugham.

The fund allocated 6.1 million manat in the first contest on June 30 to fund research programs, projects and other scientific activities.
