Non-cash payments to be encouraged in Azerbaijan

Non-cash payments are planned to be stimulated in Azerbaijan. State bodies prepares for changes in legislation for stimulation of non-cash payments, elimination of cash payments without banks.

According to Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Taxes Tax Policy and Strategic Researches Department Chief Vusal Shikhaliyev, joint working group, consisted of staffs of CBA and Ministry of Finance, has been established for making offers on this, in accordance to the order of head of state. During the making offers, foreign experience and requirements of existing legislation in the country will be taken into account. Offers on increase of non-cash payments may be different.

“These can mean stimulation of non-cash operations and several administrative measures”.
