Electronization of telephone network in Azerbaijan has been completed

Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov’s letter was read, At the beginning of event.

Head of Aztelekom Mahammad Mammadov informed about the works conducted by PU in 2010. According to him, Aztelekom has been providing all regions of Azerbaijan with telephone network, since 2004.

He says more than 600 villages have been electronized in 2008-2009: “All phone ATS have been digitalized. Old equipments were changed to new equipments”.

Aztelekom’s spokesman Faig Jafarov says that, new 301 ATS have been constructed in 2010. 768 ATS were reconstructed and changed to electron ATS.

Number of subscribers rose 60% to 686,000.
