"200 million manat spent on healthcare in Azerbaijan over last 5 years"

Azerbaijan's Health Ministry held its last meeting for 2011 on December 28.
The meeting discussed the work done in 2010 and future plans.

The ministry mainly focused on improving availability and quality of medical care and promoting health and life expectancy of population in the outgoing year, Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev said.

A total of 45 medical institutions throughout the country were renovated, office buildings of the ministry, therapeutic clinic under the Medical University, Javadzadeh Urology Center, Garayev Children's Hospital and Balakan Regional Hospital and others were refurbished, the minister added.

As much as 200 million manat was spent on healthcare in the country over the last 5 years, the minister noted.
