Forest catches fire in Azerbaijan's Zagatala region

A fire ignited in the Azerbaijani Zagatala region's forests today, the Zagatala regional office of the Environmental Protection Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told Trend.

Currently, 10-15 hectares of the state forest fund was on fire. Employees of a regional division of the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry's Department responded to the scene of the fire.

"There are difficulties in extinguishing the fire, as it covered a forest area in the hard-to-reach mountain areas," the regional office of the Ecology Ministry's Department said.

Over the last month forest fires already broke out in the Azerbaijani territory.
