More than 8000 foreign citizens are working in Azerbaijan now, said chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, member of the parliament Sattar Mehbaliyev.
He said there were more than 2000 million people in the world living in other countries and 95 million of them are migrant workers. Mehbaliyev said 418 000 workers left Azerbaijan in 1989-2007 and 425 000 workers arrived in. 58% of the leaving workers moved to Russia, 10% to Ukraine, 4% to Georgia, 3% to Kazakhstan and other countries.
