9,815 foreigners to be permitted to engage in labour activity in Azerbaijan

In 2011, 9815 foreigners will be permitted to engage in labour activity in Azerbaijan.

According to the chief of Migration Department under the Ministry of Social Defence of Labour and Population Rauf Tagiyev, most of places in this quota are in construction sector.

“This is related to implementation of infrastructure projects. The number of Azerbaijani citizens meeting the main requirements in this sector is not satisfactory”, he said.

He also noted that, oil sector was ranked second for number of places in quota.
