Azerbaijani government transfers compensation determined by European Court to imprisoned journalist's bank account

Emin Fatullayev, father of journalist in prison Eynulla Fatullayev, appealed to Human Right’s Commissioner Elmira Suleymanova, press service of Ombudsman’s Office told APA.

He said that the could not get the compensation for the journalist on the decision adopted by European Court of Human Rights.

The Commissioner appealed to Azerbaijan’s representative in the European Court of Human Rights Chingiz Asgarov and investigated the issue. It got about that the referred compensation is transferred to Fatullayev’s account in International Bank on December 22, 2010.
