Azeri folk performer burns himself alive

Resident of Mashtaga village of Sabunchu district of Baku burned himself alive yesterday, Sabunchu district police office said. Mashadibaba Aydamirov, 40, poured petrol over himself and set himself on fire. He was taken to hospital by his neighbors. He has died in hospital today.

The causes of the suicide are not known yet. He reportedly had problems with his family members and was addicted to drink. Sabunchu district prosecutor's office is investigating the fact.
