Police find ammunitions at akhund's house in southern Azerbaijan

The Masalli Region Police Department found weapons and ammunition in the home of 56-year-old Khil village resident, akhund Feremaz Abbasov.

While searching Abbasov's home, police officers found 20 grenades, 200 grams of TNT, one automatic Kalashnikov, ammunition, a revolver, and other weapons, Masalli Region Police Department Deputy Chief of Operations Aliaga Kazimov told Trend.

Abbasov was detained by law enforcement agencies. A criminal case was filed.

The Masalli Region Police Department reported that the weapons will be transferred to the Justice Ministry's Expertise Center to determine whether they were used in crimes.

Abbasov is the akhund at a Masalli mosque.
