Over 20 senior officers dismissed from Azerbaijan's health system

As a result of the extended board meeting held on January 31 at the Ministry of Health, roughly 21 heads of hospitals, maternity houses, centers of hygiene and epidemiology, as well as heads of departments were dismissed due to shortcomings in their work.

Roughly 54 senior officials were punished administratively. The heads of departments were instructed to improve public health control and medical services, the statement said.
