Azerbaijan joins International theatre festival in Iran

Fajr International Theater Festival is an annual event in Iranian theater regarded as one of the most important theatre events in the country. International theatre guests join Iranian theatre groups for 10 days where the general public is given the opportunity to attend the festivities.

The festival continues the mission of joining artists, managers and experts to achieve the highest standards set by an internationality renowned festival. The important cultural and artistic event provides a venue for the exchange of new experiences of Iranian and international theater troupes in Tehran. The festival is organized under the leadership of Mr. Mansoor Parsaei, president; Mr Hossein Mosafer Astaneh, artistic director; and Mr. Mohammad Atebbai, director of International Affairs.

Within the festival, marking the 32nd anniversary of establishment of the Iran Islam Republic Azerbaijan State Youth Theatre staged Shakespeare`s “Othello” in some cities.

Azeri theatrical company led by chief director of the theater, People`s Artist Jannat Salimova awarded diplomas for their performance.
