Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate now available in Azerbaijan

Windows Internet Explorer 9 (abbreviated as IE9), the upcoming version of the Internet Explorer web browser from Microsoft, is currently available as a public release candidate version, released on February 10, 2011.

The Azerbaijani users can download Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate from http://www.microsoft.az web site.

IE9 supports all CSS 3 selectors, improved JavaScript performance, and embedded ICC v2 or v4 color profiles support via Windows Color System. It also features hardware-accelerated graphics rendering using Direct2D, hardware accelerated text rendering using DirectWrite, hardware accelerated video rendering using Media Foundation, imaging support provided by Windows Imaging Component, and high fidelity printing powered by the XPS print pipeline.

Now, the option to right click and “show tabs on a separate row” has been added, and browser tabs are moved under the address bar. The appearance of tabs has also changed very slightly, and so has the download manager.

IE9 also supports the HTML5 video and audio tags and the Web Open Font Format. Some industry experts claim that Microsoft will release IE9 as a major out-of-band version that is not tied to any particular version of Windows.

The system requirements for IE9 are Windows 7 or Windows Vista SP2 (with Platform Update and IE8); Windows XP is not supported. Both 32-bit and 64-bit builds are available.

Microsoft says it made over 2,000 changes between the last beta and this release candidate, tightening up Chakra`s JavaScript performance, and promising faster starts, pageloads, and lower power consumption.
