Azerbaijan may adopt Code of Culture

Azerbaijan may adopt a new law "On Culture" as a Code of Culture. This initiative was launched on Tuesday by the Parliamentary Culture Committee and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism at the parliamentary committee’s meeting.

Many countries have a Code of Culture, Parliamentary Culture Committee Chairman Nizami Jafarov said today. At the meeting it was noted that the adoption of the Code will contribute to regulation of the culture sphere by the state.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism submitted its proposals on the new law "On Culture" on Tuesday.

By the new law all the rights of peoples engaged in the culture sphere should be ensured, the Head of the Culture and Tourism Ministry Office Firuddin Gurbanov said.
