Azerbaijan's passport registration office provides info about actual sum of state dues for ID card issuance

Azerbaijan's legislation does not provide for fining citizens for the late change of identity cards.
A citizen is required to change his/her ID card in case he/she turns 25, 35, 50 years or changes his/her surname, first name or patronymic, place of residence, marital status, military service or in case of distortion of data in the identity card, in case of inadequacy or loss of identity card and is required pay the state fee in the manner prescribed by law in the above-mentioned cases, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's Main Migration and Passport Registration Department said.
 
A citizen should be issued a check confirming the payment of the state fee. A citizen who has already turned 16 is required to pay a state due of 5 manats if he/she is issued an ID card within three working days and pay 1 manat if the ID card is issued in three working days.
 
A citizen is required to pay a state fee of 2 manats to replace the identity card upon reaching 25, 35, 50 years as well as in case of change of surname, name and patronymic, place of residence, marital status and military service.
 
If the ID card is lost or damaged due to the fault of the citizen, he/she is required to pay a state due of 3 manats.
 
A citizen pays a fine of 15 to 25 manats for the loss or deliberate damage to the passport in accordance with Article 331 of the Code of Administrative Offences. The state fee is not charged while issuing identity cards to citizens under 16.
