Border management in South Caucasus discussed in Baku

A three day seminar themed around “Support to Integrated Border Management Systems in the South Caucasus” was held at the World Customs Organization`s Regional Training Center in Baku.

The Azerbaijan State Customs Committee, State Migration and Border Services as well as representatives of the Border Police and Financial Services of Georgia took part in the event organized by UN Development Programme and EU.

The participants were informed about the Customs and Border Protection Services and the Food and Veterinary Service of Latvia. The event featured a presentation of European risk analysis experience.

The seminar examined comparison between the current situation in customs and border protection in Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The participants of the seminar were presented with certificates.
