03 March 2011 [17:42] - TODAY.AZ
The border treaty delimited borders between Azerbaijan and Russia was submitted to the Russian State Duma for ratification, said Chairman of the State Land and Mapping Committee Garib Mammadov.

The committee chairman said that Azerbaijan and Russia had 390-km borders and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a border treaty in Baku last year. The treaty was ratified by the parliament of Azerbaijan.

"Pictorial maps of the border treaty were prepared both in Russian and Azerbaijani and submitted to the State Duma. We will start demarcation work after the ratification of this document. It means that we will secure the border coordinates with the signs. So we will complete the demarcation of the borders with material evidence – installation of border signs".
