Book of outstanding Azeri orientalist presented in Moldova

Presentation of the book of outstanding Azeri scientist-orientalist, Professor Aida Imanguliyeva "Articles and Translations" has taken place in Kishinev.

At ceremony, attended by officials of the state and government of Moldova, men of science, education and culture of Moldova, representatives of diplomatic corps, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova Isfandiyar Vahabzade spoke of the valuable contribution Professor Aida Imanguliyeva made to development of Oriental studies with her rich creativity.

Having noted that articles written by Aida Imangulieyeva in 60-80s of last century are included in the book, the diplomat told about invaluable merits of the Professor who have won glory as the first woman-orientalist in Azerbaijan, in research and studying of the modern Arabian literature not only in her home country, but also on space of the former USSR.

The scientists, representatives of the scientific and educational public have underlined importance of translation of the rich scientific heritage of Professor Aida Imanguliyeva to many languages and its usage at institutes of oriental studies as a manual. It was noted that basic researches of outstanding scholar Aida Imanguliyeva, the rich creativity combining East and West cultural values, are one of important directions in development of world Oriental studies.

Televising on influential Moldavian TV channel "NIT" of a documentary film "Moon Reflection", devoted to Aida Imanguliyeva, also became a valuable contribution to the respect of memory of the outstanding Azerbaijani scientist-orientalist.
