Corrupted Inspector of Aghdash region prosecutor’s office arrested

Inspector of Aghdash region prosecutor’s office faced criminal charges, press service of Prosecutor General’s Office said.

Hotline call center #161 received a report on March 14, 2011, that the then inspector of Ismayilli region prosecutor’s office Fakhradidn Aliyev took $7400 from resident of Diyalli village of Ismayilli Tamilla Aliyeva promising to help give a light penalty to her husband Tavakkul Aliyev. The report was investigated by the internal investigations department. The initial investigations proved the report.

Fakhraddin Naibbey Aliyev, inspector of Aghdash region prosecutor’s office, was deprived of the rank and dismissed for violating the “Ethical Code of the Employees of Prosecuting Authorities of Azerbaijan Republic”. Department to Combat Corruption launched criminal case on articles 178.2.3, 178.2.4 (swindling through abusing position and causing damage) and 308.1 (abuse of power) of the Criminal Code and Fakhraddin Aliyev was arrested. Investigation is underway.
