Baku hosts conference on tuberculosis and lung diseases

The 4th republic scientific-practical conference on tuberculosis and lung diseases organized by the Azerbaijan Respiratory Association (ARA) has been today held in Khazar University.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Respiratory Association (ARA) and doctor of the Central Oilmen Hospital Adalat Abdullayev stressed the increasement of deaths from lung diseases. He spotlighted all healthcare organizations paid attention to the struggle with diseases.

"The aim of holding such conference is to discuss chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, tuberculosis and other issues of respiratory medicine", Adalat Abdullayev said.

President of Georgian Respiratory Association, Professor Kakha Vacharadze made a report "New investigation of the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease".

Employees of Azerbaijan Medical University Kamal Hajiyev, Alizamin Sadigov and doctor of the Central Oilmen Hospital Adalat Abdullayev made speeches on differences, prospects and modern diagnostic styles of the treatment of lung diseases and bronchial asthma.

Participants were handed over booklets on preventive maintenance of diseases and medicinal preparations.

The conference will last till Saturday.
