The Azerbaijani higher educational institutions’ students will be able to obtain their degree without requiring the completion of further exams, provided that they earn the required credit scores.
"If a student earned the required points, then he or she will receive a diploma," the Education Minister Misir Mardanov told reporters on Friday.
Based on the Bologna system, a student must score a certain number of credits to graduate from the institutions of higher education. Mardanov said this practice is applied throughout the world.
"The Azerbaijan Languages University has been selected as a pilot institution. If the result is positive, the system will be applied to other universities," he said.
