
Ministry of Taxes has launched 106 criminal cases on tax violations, in first quarter of 2011.
Of this, preliminary investigations on 60 cases have been completed. According to Ministry, 4 criminal cases from completed preliminary investigations about 10 persons, including 1 case on tax evasion, 2 cases on illegal entrepreneurship have been sent to the relevant courts.
Some persons paid the taxes completely, during the preliminary investigation and the 40 criminal cases have been dropped. 3 persons who were declared wanted, detained and sent to Investigation department of Preliminary Investigation Department of Tax Crimes under the Ministry of Taxes, 65 persons were brought to investigation forcibly, 53 persons were founded and sent to investigation, places of 25 persons defined and informed to investigation.
32 tax payers avoiding the tax controls detained and sent to tax agencies.
