One killed, two injured in youth scuffles in Azerbaijan capital

One was killed in the scuffle between the young people in Baku on May 1, Nasimi district police said.

The incident took place in Tolstoy Street behind the Inter Plaza Hotel. A group of young people scuffled because of disputes between them. Resident of Baku, Rufat Figarov, 24 knifed Novruz Jafarov, 17, Farid Mustafayev, 20 and Elvin Abdullayev, 21.

Three injured men were hospitalized. Novruz Jafarov died at the hospital.

Figarov was detained.

Nasimi prosecutor’s office launched criminal investigation.
