Azerbaijani Education Ministry will make an order to universities to train teachers for vocational schools in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Education Ministry's Vocational Education Department head Namig Mammadov said.
He said that at the moment proposals are being developed on this matter. Based on these proposals the Education Ministry will make orders to various universities and their graduates will be invited to work in professional schools.
"Teachers have moved away from vocational education institutions over the past 20 years because of various objective and subjective reasons. This problem has arisen due to financial problems. Unfortunately, many universities do not train personnel for vocational schools. We are trying to address this problem with different ways. To this end, we intend to appeal to a number of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. We will provide their active graduates with the work," Mammadov said.
He said that at present vocational schools need 300-400 teachers.
