Action plan for Baku- 2020 Olympic Games announced

Baku has publicized its action plan for the 2020 Olympic Games "We are preparing a brochure, containing comprehensive information on Azerbaijan. This will cover sport as well as the economic and ecological situation in our country", CEO of the Baku 2020 Olympic Games Bid Committee Konul Nurullayeva told reporters.

She said the book will be ready by Feb.15, 2012 and sent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It will be published within two months of the IOC's completing its assessment of information on Azerbaijan.

The CEO also spoke about Baku's chances. "The IOC demands that candidates have strong economies and from this point of view Baku has no worries, quite the contrary, we have advantages", she said.

According to Ms Nurullayeva, it is nine years before the announcement and we can do quite a lot. The IOC confirmed Baku's bid to host the 2020 Summer Olympics.
It was then the Bid Committee was formed.
