Azerbaijan studies Olympic process in London

The official visit of Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov to the UK has begun, the ministry's press service told Trend on Monday.

The visit aims to hold meetings with those responsible for the preparation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012 in London.

During the visit, Rahimov met with UK Minister for Sport and Olympics Hugh Robertson, as well as British Olympic Association chairman Colin Moynihan.

Rahimov said hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games is an experience important for the life of the city and the country.

"To become serious contenders to win and be able to host the Games in 2020, we have to understand every detail of this process," said the minister.
