Neftchi FC advances in UEFA rankings

UEFA, Europe`s football governing body, has released its international rankings of clubs in which Neftchi moved up 22 spots to rank 226th, the highest position ever held by an Azerbaijani club.

Neftchi drew 2-2 with Italian Inter in an away match in the last round of the UEFA Europa League qualifying round Thursday.

Another Azerbaijani club Garabag dropped one place to 227th in the rankings. Baku, Khazar Lankaran, AZAL and Simurg rank 291st, 318th, 365th and 366th respectively.
