Azerbaijan Championship among senior wrestlers opens

The championship of Azerbaijan among senior free and Greco-Roman style wrestlers has commenced today at Sarhadchi Olympic Sports Complex.

The athletes born in 1994, 18 years old and those pertaining to the higher age category are entitled to join the competitions organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation. The athletes will compete in 55, 66, 84 and 120 kg categories in freestyle wrestling the first day and Greco-Roman the second day.

The sport societies, sport clubs, sport organizations, the athletes included to the composition of the city and district teams will compete in the completions of the personal nature.

The athletes ranked in the first three places in the personal competitions as per the weight categories will be awarded by AWF with the corresponding diplomas, medals and money prizes and will be involved to the national teams and be provided with full set of sportive clothes.
