Montevideo hosts “Gold cup-Azerbaijan-2012” championship.

Uruguay`s capital Montevideo has hosted the “Gold cup-Azerbaijan-2012” women`s football championship. “Kerre” team became the champion of the football tournament organized by the Uruguay Football Association (UFA).

The awarding ceremony was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan`s embassies to Uruguay and Argentina. Delivering a speech in the event, the Coordinator of Women`s Football Council of the UFA Nair Ackermann Bochard said the tournament was dedicated to the FIFA U-17 Women`s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012. Bochard noted Uruguayan female football players participated in the world championship for the first time.

Representatives of the Azerbaijani embassies thanked the organizers of the tournament and congratulated the champions.
