Azerbaijani boxers shine in start of European Championship

Two Azerbaijani boxers have successfully launched their campaign to win medals at the European championship in Minsk, Belarus.

Samir Mammadov weighing in at 56 kg, and Tamerlan Abdullayev at 69 kg defeated Croatian Mirsad Ahmadi and Hungarian Balas Bashkai respectively.

Mammadov will next face Moldovan Veaceslav Gojan, while Abdullayev will clash with Greek Pavlos Tsagrakos.
