Azerbaijani sambo wrestler claims world crown

Azerbaijani Hajali Gasimov (42kg) has become the winner of the World Cadets Sambo Championships 2016 in Limassol, Cyprus.


He secured the gold medal thanks to a victory over Armenian rival in the final.


Another Azerbaijani sambo wrestler Vilayat Bayramov won the bronze medal in the 55kg division.


The tournament brought together sambo wrestlers from 21 countries.
